Featuring ultra-bright amber LEDs embedded into a reflective chevron face, this solar or mains-powered unit enhances early warning visibility — day or night — and activates automatically when vehicles approach at high speeds.

The LED Smart Chevron offers proactive visual guidance for drivers approaching tight curves or accident-prone bends. When the on-board radar detects an oncoming vehicle exceeding a programmable speed threshold, the embedded 55 CREE 5mm amber LEDs flash in sequence, capturing driver attention and encouraging speed reduction.
Unlike static signs, this dynamic warning device increases visibility by over 10x in low-light or adverse weather conditions. The use of 3M high-reflective vinyl and ultra-bright LEDs ensures compliance with TSM Chapter 4 safety standards while reducing reliance on traditional passive signage.
Each LED Smart Chevron is built on an aluminium substrate, embedded with 55 LEDs behind a polycarbonate lens, and finished with 3M high-visibility reflective vinyl. The LED system is powered by a 12V DC supply and can be connected via solar or mains energy, offering versatile deployment in remote or urban locations.
The system includes a Doppler radar to detect oncoming traffic and activate the display based on site-specific speed settings. Brightness ranges between 5900 mcd and 8400 mcd, with constant-current drivers maximising LED lifespan. It’s fully waterproof and easy to install, replace, or maintain, with durable protection against Irish weather and traffic conditions.
